This two-day option offers a much more relaxed and immersive way to connect Chile and Argentina through the Andes Mountains. By splitting the journey and spending the night in the heart of the mountains, passengers enjoy ample free time to connect with pristine nature before continuing on to Bariloche.
Day 1: Puerto Varas – Petrohué Waterfalls – Cruise to Peulla
We depart at 08:30 AM from Puerto Varas, driving along the scenic shores of Lake Llanquihue with stunning views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. Our first stop will be the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park to marvel at the Petrohué Waterfalls, where emerald-green waters cascade over ancient volcanic rock. Around 10:30 AM, we will board a catamaran to cruise across Lake Todos los Santos toward Peulla, enjoying breathtaking views of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes, and Mount Tronador. We arrive at 12:15 PM in Peulla, an eco-village paradise. Enjoy a free afternoon for lunch (not included), optional outdoor adventure activities, or simply relaxing in this unique environment. Overnight stay in Peulla.
Day 2: Peulla – Andes Crossing – Lake Cruises – Bariloche
In the afternoon of the second day, we will board a bus to Puerto Frías, stopping at Chilean Customs for exit immigration procedures. We will cross the highest point of the Andes mountain range at an altitude of 976 meters (3,200 feet) before descending to Puerto Frías. From there, we will cruise across Lake Frías to Puerto Alegre, followed by a short bus transfer to Puerto Blest. At 07:00 PM, we embark on the final cruise of the day across the majestic Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Pañuelo. A final bus ride will take us to San Carlos de Bariloche, arriving late in the afternoon in the capital of Patagonian tourism.
