Iguazú Falls

A Masterpiece of Water and Jungle

Iguazú is nature in its most powerful and raw form. Often referred to as Iguassu Falls in English-speaking markets, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a sprawling complex of 275 waterfalls hidden within a lush subtropical rainforest. It’s a place where the air is thick with mist, the canopy is alive with the calls of toucans, and the earth literally vibrates under the force of the falling water. For travelers seeking a sensory-rich escape, Iguazú is the ultimate encounter with the wild heart of South America.

Key notes about Iguazú

Majestic Iguazú Falls cascading with white water and mist over lush subtropical forest, with a rainbow visible in the spray.

Climate

Expect a tropical atmosphere. Summer highs often reach 90°F (32°C)+. The humidity is part of the experience, keeping the jungle vibrant and the falls thunderous.

Bearded capuchin monkey perched on a branch in the lush forest canopy near Iguazú Falls.

When to visit

Year-round. From January to March, the water volume is at its peak (high humidity), while April to September offers cooler, more comfortable temperatures for hiking.

Duration

We recommend 2 to 3 nights. This allows enough time to explore both national parks and perhaps add a cultural visit to the nearby Jesuit Ruins.

Must-see experiences

  • The Devil’s Throat (Garganta del Diablo): Stand on the edge of the world's most powerful waterfall. The sheer volume of water plunging into the abyss is a sight—and a sound—you will never forget.

  • The Best of Both Worlds: We curate visits to both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. Argentina offers an intimate, "up-close" experience through winding jungle trails, while Brazil provides the iconic, wide-angle panoramic vistas.

  • The Great Adventure Boat Tour: For those who don't mind getting soaked, this high-speed navigation takes you directly under the falls for an adrenaline-fueled perspective of the cascades.

  • Moonlight Tours: If your dates align with the full moon, witness the "Lunar Rainbow" on an exclusive night walk—one of the most mystical experiences in the travel world.
