Semi-arid and windy. Coastal influence keeps temperatures moderate. Summers are warm (75°F / 24°C), while winters are crisp but rarely freezing during the day.

Best Time to Visit
September to November is the "Golden Window" when whales and penguins coincide. Whales are present from June to December; Penguins from September to March.
Duration
Stay 2 to 3 nights. This allows one full day for the Peninsula and another for Punta Tombo or the Welsh valleys.
Wildlife Calendar
Wildlife is seasonal. If you wish to see specific species (like orcas or right whales), we recommend checking the migration calendar with us before booking.

Whale Watching in Golfo Nuevo: Get up close with the magnificent Southern Right Whales. Watching these giants from a boat or even from the shore at El Doradillo beach is a truly humbling experience.
Valdés Peninsula (UNESCO Site): A full-day safari through this protected area to spot sea lions, elephant seals, guanacos, and, if you are lucky, the legendary orcas.
Punta Tombo Penguin Colony: Visit one of the largest continental nesting sites for Magellanic penguins. Walking among thousands of them in their natural habitat is unforgettable.
