Included Activities

Beagle Channel Sailing by Yacht
We will sail through the Beagle Channel on 15-meter long 'Grand Banks' yachts with bilingual guides. Passing various islands to the Lighthouse at the End of the World (Faro del Fin del Mundo), we'll enjoy panoramic views from three deck levels.
The excursion begins heading to Alicia Island to observe colonies of South American sea lions. We continue to Bird Island (Isla de los Pájaros), habitat of imperial and rock cormorants (with chicks between spring and autumn).
Then we sail to an island with South American fur seals and the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (built in 1919), from where we can spot rock cormorants.
On our return, we disembark at Bridges Island to walk along flora and birdlife trails, while guides share stories of the Yámana people and their anthropogenic shell middens. From here we can admire the channel's magnificence and Ushuaia in the distance.
During navigation we'll enjoy coffee with liquor, tea varieties, hot chocolate with cookies and Argentine mate.

Tierra del Fuego National Park
The excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park will allow us to enjoy different views of the Beagle Channel framed by mountains and forests. At the end of the tour through the Park, we will reach Lapataia Bay, stopping at Roca Lake, which changes color according to weather conditions. The Park is located 12 kilometers from Ushuaia and is Argentina's only national park with a marine coast. With 63,000 hectares, it is home to species such as lengas, guindos, calafates and notros. During the tour we will observe beaver dams on the Lapataia River, peat bogs and Green Lagoon. At Lapataia Bay we will see archaeological sites before ending at Roca Lake.

Hike with Penguins
You will walk among penguins for one hour with a specialized guide. Additionally, you will visit Harberton Ranch and Acatushún Museum.
Martillo Island, part of Harberton Ranch on the Beagle Channel, is home to Magellanic Penguins (1,000 nests) and Gentoo Penguins (16 pairs) between September and April.
Males arrive first in late September to prepare underground nests. Females arrive later, laying 2 eggs between October-November. Chicks hatch in November-December.
The tour departs at 8am and 2:30pm from Ushuaia. Includes transfer to Harberton Ranch (founded in 1886) and 15-minute boat ride to Martillo Island to walk among penguins with a guide.

Lakes Off Road
The Lakes Off Road Tour offers a different way to experience the lake region. We'll navigate the circuit -with challenging slopes- in a Land Rover Defender. After a hike around Hidden Lake (Lago Escondido), we'll eat at the refuge. In the afternoon we'll return to Ushuaia.
The excursion begins with transfer from your hotel in a Land Rover Defender 4x4. We start towards Garibaldi Pass, with panoramic views of Hidden Lake and Fagnano Lake.
We continue to Fagnano Lake for pure off-road circuit, overcoming challenging terrain. Then we head to Hidden Lake for a hike along the shore to the refuge, where we'll enjoy a complete asado barbecue.
After lunch, there will be free time to relax or paddle canoes before returning to Ushuaia in the afternoon.
